Shu was never the best at anything... kendo, friends, girls... until one day, he saw a young girl sitting atop a smoke stack, and watching the sunset. Climbing up an adjacent smokestack, he tries to find out who she is...
But like magic, he is enclosed in a glowing ball as giant snake-like machines appear out of thin-air, and circle Lala Ru, with a strange woman commanding her to come with them. Shu is not one to see a girl be taken against her will, and he immediately acts against them, but is instead transported with them...
...into a desert reigned by the mad King Hambo, in his quest to rule the whole world. For theres more to Lala Ru than meets the eye, holding with her a power capable of standing up to the floating fortress Hellywood. Will Shu be able to prove himself a true friend to Lala Ru, and save her world from the tight clutches of Hellywood? Or will he himself fall victim to the power of a madman?
