(Synopsis) A continuation of the Downtown Torpedoes movie, Skyline Cruisers follows a similiar plot of techno-spy exploits. Mac (Leon Lai), a professional thief, is imprisoned after killing his partner, who murdered Mac's girlfriend. While in prison, Mac meets and befriends three other small-time thieves. When they are released, the group decides to join up. Mac heads up the hi-tech group to steal/retrieve a newly developed drug. The super group goes about its business and gets duped and double-crossed. They must pool their resources in order to find out just who is behind the double-cross.

The movie has a large cast of well known actors, with Leon Lai, Jordon Chan, Sam Lee, and Shu Qi headlining. The action is well shot, featuring many shots reminiscent of the editing in Tokyo Raiders, but not quite as stylized. It adds a bit of flair to the movie, but some people don't like this type of editing. A fairly light movie, but it packs enough action to be a pleasant enough distraction, even if it does feel far too short and fails to exploit the talents of the actors on hand. The techno-spy stuff is pretty entertaining, although you might want to suspend your disbelief in advance as a few of the scenes are a bit too unbelievable to take seriously.
