(Synopsis)
Its been 22 years since the incident on the Lost Grounds that granted everybody in its radius the ability to form physical extensions of themselves. They have become known as Alters, but the users themselves are feared throughout the world.
The people who live outside the city controlled by HOLD are considered to be sub-human. They are enslaved by HOLD and put to hard labor as the city's boundaries extend outward. Overseeing this operation is HOLY, a subsection of HOLD, that is comprised mainly of Alter users dedicated to the good will of the city.
But theres one man who won't stand for it. His name is Kazuma, with his Alter ability that allows him to create armor on his arm. He is paid for his work, at first, but his true goal is to protect the woman he loves, Kanami. With his hatred burning, he's prepared to take on all of HOLY in order to protect his people.
