Rizelmine is set in a typically modern day society. A young girl is Rizel a 12-year-old female who as it seems is legally married to Tomonori. How this has happened is beyond Tomonori's understanding as well as his significant reluctance to accept his new current situation.

Rizel is a biologically engineered human female, yet she by all means is not normal. We watch as Rizelmine develops and how Rizel, the female lead in the series tries to receive Tomonori's acceptance and affection. Will he ever love her?
