(Synopsis)
The Shang Dynasty came to an end after 500 years, thanks to the intrigues and betrayals of the infamous title character. The spectacle is vividly brought to the screen in one of the most lavish epics in Hong Kong movie history--starring Linda Lin Dai, the reigning queen of the Mandarin screen. Tragically, the film was released a month after her suicide at age 30, adding an added poignancy to her character's triumphant rise and tragic fall.
