(Synopsis) The free-spirited Carol Cheung thinks of herself as a one-man woman, and her man is the rich and married Edward Sung. But one night, she goes out to dinner with her neighbour Mandy and boyfriend Charlie, and they witness another couple fighting. They are Edgar and Alice. Alice is having dinner with Hiroshi. Carol, always unpredictable, is exasperated by the scene, and tells all three of them off. The next day, she regrets the action ... or does she ? Whatever, she decides to apologize to them. This is the first of many times she says "I am sorry". What follows is a light and quite pleasant romance with dashes of comedy and bitterness. Edgar and Carol are of again on again, Edward neglects her then wants her back just as she's leaving him, her more mature neighbour gives her occasional advice. Edgar rejects her, and she goes back to work in the family fish business. But it's not for her, so she returns to HK to look for Edgar ... or does she ?
