(Synposis) Once there was a war between the Earth Federation and the Colonies. As the war dragged on, the Federation decided to play its one and only trump card: the GX-9900. Using a complicated system of mirrors to reflect tremendous solar power, directly from the sun, they were able to create a powerful laser. But even the power of the GX's beam cannon wasn't enough to stop the revolting Colonies, and it forced the Colonies to play their own card: dropping their very Colonies onto the Earth. Much of Earth's population died in the explosions as hundreds of colonies shot through the atmosphere, and in the harsh climate that had been created in the aftermath.
Now, 15 years have passed, and the year is A.W. 0015. Garoad Ran meets up with Tifa Adil, a powerful newtype who can activate the solar beam cannon, and discovers the long lost GX-9900. He soon learns that the Gundam is too much for him to handle when he take out a whole fleet in one shot with the solar cannon. Garoad joins up with Jamil Neel and his crew, Vultures who pray upon lost technologies, on the hovercraft Frieden in search for more Newtypes with the help of Tifa's guidance. On their search that leads them even to space, Garoad and the others must fight many dangerous battles, in order to finish the war once and for all!
